The swimwear collection SS2009

The Austrian knitwear specialist Wolford presents a retro-sportive swimwear collection, designed by Ronald van der Kemp. This is the second season that the designer creates for the Austrian company, which already collaborated with designers such as Giorgio Armani, Kenzo, Missoni... On Wolford's website you will find out that the collection seems to be strongly influenced by the sportive years of the 20ies and 30ies fashion and its cheeky Flapper Girl chic.

fig. right: Safari by Wolford, spring/summer 2009
. The adventurous girlish look is best expressed by the bright red animal printed 'Safari' swimbandeau and tanga with a hairbandeau for the practical swim-bob-look.

fig. left: Skyline by Wolford, spring/summer 2009. The second line is named 'Skyline' and is made for sportive swimmer with bandeau swimsuits and swimbra in zig-zag design.

Another line has the classical 40ies glam-appeal: 'Neptune' plays with transparencies and accentuates - in contrast to the boyish Flapper girl look - female forms and is made to "attract attention" with a swim tanga with coloured belt and cup balconnet www.wolford.com.
