Sights and sounds of Brazil inspired new Puma collection, curated by musician Solange Knowles

In November 2013, the North American division of sports wear brand Puma launched the first collection under the creative consultancy of musician, producer and model Solange Knowles. For the four designs of women's sneakers of the 'Girls of Blaze Disc' collection, Solange collaborated with four artists from music, photography and fashion. On occasion of FIFA World Cup Brasil (12 June - 13 July 2014), the artists incorporated their views on sights and sounds of Brazil into colorful street art designs such as the one with graphical trompe l'oeil detail on the sole (on view on this page below).

Additionally to the design collaboration, Solange recently curated and art directed digital content for Puma on WhoWhatWear.com.

Other collaborators are Hisham Baroocha (visual artist, musician, and photographer - Solange Knowles wears sneakers in Hisham design), and Darlene and Lizzy Okpo (design team for the women's wear collection William Okpo). The collection will come into stores in February 2014 in North America.
