The exhibition presents works of 48 years (1957 to 2005) by one of the most important american artists after 2nd world war. His wife and muse is in over 40 paintings his favorite subject. Ada Katz has played an important role in her husband’s creative life. The paintings show her iconic status. Critic Irving Sandler wrote, Ada is “woman, wife, mother, muse, model, sociable hostess, myth, icon, and New York goddess”.
