Sport, art, science and entertainment on one road

On 14 September 2010, I took my bicycle for meeting a friend at the new restaurant 'Vivus' in the Viennese Prater nearby the Riesenrad - you can see it right on the image. Vivus (means 'lively') lies perfectly on my trainings alley, the Hauptallee, and vis á vis to the house which looks like a ball and is named 'Kugelmugel'. Once, the Kugelmugel-builder had troubles with the authorities in Lower Austria because of a different view on his 'curved world'. So the 'Kugelmugel' migrated to this place in Vienna.

It seems as if 'different views on the world' is an usual exercise here on this place; the government of the city of Vienna invites to the celebration of research ('Forschungsfest') under the title 'Our city in 2020' from 18 to 20 September 2010 into the Prater, where scientists from the various specialised universities in Vienna (technological, cultural, medic sciences...) will present on three days new perspectives on the city's ecology, social life, human health and possible futures of our society.

It is announced that the events are also entertaining; probably I will make a stop on my trainings alley and visit one of the lectures in the cabins of the Viennese Riesenrad next Saturday.
