"They took away his freedom. He takes them all." written as short introduction into the upcoming movie 'Django Unchained' (written, directed by Quentin Tarantino) on the (German language) poster over the heads of the three main characters. The story of the movie plays in the South of America, two years before the Civil War (1861 to 1865). In the middle of the poster, Jamie Foxx who appears in the role of the slave 'Django'. Django gets 'unchained' after a deal with bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (actor Christoph Waltz, on the image right). Both, Django (as free man) and Dr. Schultz are after Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) who is the owner of the infamous plantation 'Candyland' where Django suspects to find his wife. Find the full story and an interactive 'Bounty Hunter'-game on the movie's website.

On 28 November 2012, the 'Django Unchained'-soundtrack was unveiled, a mix of known tracks and new ones which were written for the film such as Rick Ross' '100 Black Coffins' produced by and featuring Jamie Foxx, John Legend's 'Who Did That To You?', or 'Ancora Qui' by Ennio Morricone and Elisa.

Director Quentin Tarantino says: "I want to thank all the artists who contributed original songs (a first for me) to the picture. Most of these contributions came out of the artists' own inspiration and their illustration of the film's soul is invaluable. In addition to the new original songs I am also using a lot of older recordings on the soundtrack - many of which came from my personal vinyl collection. Instead of having the record companies give me new digitally cleaned up versions of these recordings from the 60's and 70's, I wanted to use the vinyl I've been listening to for years - complete with all the pops and cracks. I even kept the sound of the needle being put down on the record. Basically because I wanted people's experience to be the same as mine when they hear this soundtrack for the first time." The soundtrack is announced to come into stores (physically and digitally) on 18 December 2012; track listing on
