Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros' music videos

Already in May 2012, US band Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros launched their new album 'Here' with a 'cinematic' music video for the first track. The country-folk song 'Man on Fire' makes think of Johnny Cash melodies and centers around living together in today's society. It's an invitation to dance (find the lyrics and video on YouTube)!  Director of the 'Man on Fire' video is actor Brady Corbet (Melancholia, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Thirteen), who shot his debut music video on locations in New York such as in a recreation center on three days in mid-May. He presents dance scenes with the New York City Ballet, the Brooklyn Divas, sports performances and personalities.

Now in October 2012, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros present the song 'Child' from the album 'Here' with video. This time, the music video was selected from entries on Genero.tv. Winner of the contest is Polish director Michael Byra. His melancholic story of 'Child' has the lightness of travelling to heaven.

Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros' Alex Ebert says: "I know that each video will exist forever in its own right and I thank you all for gifting us with these timeless creations. As for our three picks, we watched them in a small room, all of us together, and laughed and cried. Thank you very much for these eloquent, thoughtful, daring videos."
