Explorations of fashion, art and places

"Man looking for a woman with boat. PLS send pictures of boat." printed like a 'Post-It' message on one of the pages of the first issue 'Volume I' of the twice a year published book-series by the Stockholm-based fashion brand J.Lindeberg (founded 1997, today available in more than 30 countries). Volume I opens with illustrations that remember Egon Schiele's sketches and presents the label's pieces from the 2009/10 collection of men's and women's wear for urban activities and sports wear with impressions of mountains and skiing.

In September 2012, J.Lindeberg publishes on 'The Documentary and A Dream' website already the 7th edition of the biannual publication which leads through contemporary art and lifestyles to places around the world. This time, the biannual book 'Volume VII' is entirely photographed by Peter Lindbergh and takes a closer look at the Times Square in New York City. It's the first J.Lindeberg edition with exclusively one contributor; probably because Peter Lindbergh is a 'heavy-weight' in the fashion world (several awards, worked with Vogue, Rolling Stone, etc.) and fills with his street-poetical view of 'fashion in action' on the Times Square not only the pages of the book. He inspired the fashion makers for a film documentary about the shooting in May 2012 in New York (video below).
