Video: Alan Ball (creator and executive producer of 'True Blood', he received the Emmy award for the creation of the HBO series 'Six Feet Under') introduces into the cookbook 'True Blood: Eats, Drinks, and Bites from Bon Temps'. Ball speaks about the recipes which are inspired by scenes of the series. The HBO series 'True Blood' is based on the 'Sookie Stackhouse' novels by Charlaine Harris. The stories are located in the fictional town Bon Temps in Louisiana and center around the romance between waitress Sookie Stackhouse (represented by actress Anna Paquin), who can read minds, and 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (played by Stephen Moyer). HBO series 'True Blood' recipes and music
At the end of 2012, HBO published the recipe collection inspired by the 'True Blood' series as hardcover book under the title 'True Blood: Eats, Drinks, and Bites from Bon Temps'. The cookbook contains 85 bayou recipes (without blood) which are already well bespoken online - and tested. "Little in this book is kid friendly (why would it be?), so don’t look for a family meal that everyone will love," writes April Murk.
On 30 April 2013, HBO provided the first taste of the upcoming soundtrack 'Volume 4' (release on 28 May, ATO Records) of the 'True Blood' series with the inviting words "Get Ready To Bite Into True Blood's Volume 4" and the song 'Let's Boot and Rally' by Iggy Pop with Bethany Cosentino. The series' music supervisor Gary Calamar collected for each episode a song title. Volume 4 consists of tracks contributed by Eric Burdon with Jenny Lewis, My Morning Jacket, The Flaming Lips, etc. It is announced that the soundtrack will be available on vinyl in mid-June.

Music: Punk rock duet 'Let's Boot and Rally' by Iggy Pop with Bethany Cosentino, from 'True Blood: Music From The HBO Original Series Volume 4' (release on 28 May 2013, ATO Records). The song title became also an episode title of 'True Blood'.
