couturière Lucile (Lucy, Lady Duff Gordon, 1863-1935) was a groundbreaking
entrepreneur and arbiter of style. Lucile created meainingful names
for her pieces; poetic names such as “Essence of the Dusk,”
“Whispering Joy,” or provocative “Consoled Sin.”
