In Styria, Austria, the consciousness for "Tracht" began under the influence of the role model Erzherzog Johann (Habsburg, 1782-1859). In the 20th century the scientific research and archiving of "Tracht" arised. The "Tracht" in Styria was very differenziated; for almost each town another "Tracht".
