Antique materials in new design

German designer Suse Schneeweiss, born 1962 in Wetzlar/Germany, develops small, limited collections of bags, hats, clothing, andjewelery. Each of her handmade pieces is unique.
For the clothing collection Suse Schneeweiss uses old fabrics which she found in a factory in Old-Eastern-Germany. These goblins (the skirt on the picture right is made of one of these rare fabrics) are from the 1900 - 1940. At this time the goblins could be found in many households in Germany or Austria. Suse Schneeweiss creates her collections with a with a wink. Look at the designs with humour! The designer even works with "antique" textiles from the 60ies and 70ies.

Suse studied fashion design at the "Kunsthochschule für Kunst und Design" in Hannover and finished even her education as modiste. Afterwards Suse Schneeweiss worked for several companies as designer. 2004 she launched her own label. Today Suse Schneeweiss presents her fashion international. In October 2007 she participated in the Blickfang Vienna.
