Bunker style in Berlin

In February 2010, the German publishing house Taschen announced a new architecture relevant series with the title 'Interiors Now! Vol. 1'. Author of the first volume on contemporary interiors from around the world is Dr. Angelika Taschen who studied art history and German literature in Heidelberg. Since 1987, she has published numerous titles on art, architecture, photography, design, travel, and lifestyle for the publishing house Taschen.

Angelika Taschen has visited many stylish spaces like the Swedish countryhouse of French Vogue creative director Fabien Baron or Roberto Cavalli's Milanese apartment.

The bunker was once built by one of Hitler's architects Albert Speer in 1942.

New York Times reporter Andreas Tzortzis wrote in his article 'In a Berlin war bunker, Christian Boros creates a showcase for art' in June 2007: "But for a man whose taste has proved as profitable as it is unconventional, the former World War II bomb shelter is the ideal location for the one thing Hitler's architects never thought would inhabit the place: art."

Since 1990, Boros and Lehmann are collecting art from Damian Hirst, Olafur Eliasson, Wolfgang Tillmans, etc. In June 2008, they made their collection available to the public. The exhibition spaces are below their penthouse, terraces and the roof garden.

On the website of the Art Collection Boros sammlung-boros.de, an extended history of the bunker is published.
