Since 50 years the Coconut Chair is a home must-have. 1955 George Nelson (1908 – 1986) created the classic chair in the form of a pitched coconut in black leather. The chair is a prominent sign of the 50ies understatement: never before in the modern world humans had so cool furnitures. A new fashion of sitting was born. Vitra edited the chair again in 1988.
