"... no choices - because desire, just like tango, is but the regret of the future."

On 10th November 2008 the pioneers of electro-tango Gotan Project, consisting of the musicians Philippe Cohen Solal, Eduardo Makaroff and Christoph H. Müller, released the "Gotan Project in a Box" with a double live CD of both the “La Revancha del Tango” and “Lunático” tours, the 152 pages photography book “Carnet de viajes”, DVD video projections "Visiones", previously unreleased 7" vinyl, and an exclusive puzzle poster.

The DVD "Visiones" contains images by Prisca Lobjoy which where projected during the concerts and the photos that she gathered throughout the tour.

The photographer has been creating the entire visual environment of the Gotan Project since the band’s beginnings. She has directed the album art design and many music videos such as the video for “Diferente”; the film “La Revancha del Tango live”, that came out on DVD; the many video sequences that the band uses on stage; and the short film “Sentimentale”, between dance and fiction, inspired by the music of Gotan and its Argentinian imagery.

"Gotan Project represents the latest installment in the tumultuous, transformative dialogue between Paris and Buenos Aires. In the magical hands of Philippe Cohen Solal, Eduardo Makaroff and Christoph H. Müller it is no longer port music, but the sound of the transatlantic flight and the lonely airport lounge, the bandoneon through a laptop. It also captures the spirit of boomerang migration, of a generation of Latin Americans who have returned to the European countries that their grandparents fled a hundred years ago, exiles from nations of exiles." Naomi Klein, Preface of the photobook “Carnet de viajes” with 152 pages of photography by Prisca Lobjoy.

For the members of Gotan Project, who come from just about everywhere, the term “revolution” means nothing but “the course of returning to the same place”. The motto of Gotan Project for staying faithful to your roots is to use your feet: to advance, to travel or to dance.

"... Gotan Project released “La Revancha del Tango”. Audiences around the world were euphoric but in Buenos Aires, where I was living at the time, the response was, at first, restrained. The country had already lost so much. Now even tango – the quintessential Argentine art form – was being reinvented outside its borders, in Paris no less. The restraint did not last long. By late 2002, the irresistible, hallucinogenic sounds of Época and Santa María (del Buen Ayre) was wafting from the open doors and windows of the coolest bars and restaurants in San Telmo and Palermo Viejo. The city, starting its slow, halting recovery, embraced a new soundtrack." Naomi Klein, Preface of the photobook “Carnet de viajes” with 152 pages of photography by Prisca Lobjoy.
