Video: 'Dr. Martens 50th anniversary' with The Duke Spirit's coverage of 'If The Kids Are United'. The song is originally from the punk band 'Sham 69', released in the 80s. The music video is directed by Jamie Morgan; on the website of Dr. Martens, you can download the track for free 50.drmartens.com/free-mp3s. The boot was developed in 1945 by the German medic Dr. Maertens; the anniversary counts the years that the first Dr. Martens boots came out in UK (1 April 1960).

Post-punk in fashion

In 2010, UK band 'The Duke Spirit' with front singer Liela Moss appears on the 'fashion stage'.

In April 2010 on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the British cult footwear brand 'Dr. Martens', The Duke Spirit contributed a song to the anniversary lifestyle video.

On 12 September 2010, The Duke Spirit appears again on the 'fashion stage' . This time, it is for the collaborative label of Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, Y-3 (Y stands for Yohji, 3 for the three stripes of Adidas). Y-3 presented hard core rock'n'roll inspired SS2011 pieces at the Park Avenue Armory during New York Fashion Week. The catwalk show of military and biker jackets was accompanied by live music from The Duke Spirit.

Fashionoffice received the information with the show report: "Y-3 took a tour through three decades of rock style, sending a model army of Janis Joplins, Elvis Presleys, and Jimi Hendrixes out onto the runway."
