Video: Men's wear designer/conceptual artist Aitor Throup has written and directed the music video 'Switchblade Smiles' by Kasabian; premiered on 15 July 2011.

Men's wear designer and conceptual artist Aitor Throup incorporates his sportive, futuristic-vintage style as director into the new music video of the British rock band Kasabian 'Switchblade Smile' .

The single 'Switchblade Smile' is from the forthcoming album 'Velociraptor' (release on 19 September, pre-order on kasabian.co.uk).


Men's wear designer directs music video

Aitor Throup studied fashion design at Manchester Metropolitan University and fashion menswear at the Royal College of Art in London (combined for his graduate collection football and Hindu symbolism).

His projects concern sportswear collaborations with Stone Island about 'Anatomy', the re-design of the Goggle Jacket by C.P. Company (interview with Aitor Throup), products by the British football brand Umbro for the 2010 World Cup, or art installations such as the one that looks like the study of an athlete’s jump realised in a white room with naked men's lifesize figures, only covered by concept-trouser; the concepts for men's wear were developed by Aitor Throup through six years and were shown at the London Fashion Week in February 2010. The lookbook alike video 'Legs' gives insights into the chapters of the trousers designs. He works as a stylist for magazines like i-D magazine, Arena Homme+, or GQ Style.
