Pin-up 2005: New Punk, Gothic, Re-struct/Symbiotic
Zeitgeist fashioned by the finalists of the Triumph International Fashion Award 2005

Internet users have made their choice: the announced fashion style of the "Pin-up 2005" is punky, seduces in the Gothic look and pleases in the new style which can be described as “Symbiotic” or “Re-struct”. Fiorenza from Italy, Susanne Zaspel from Germany, and Brazil born Rafael Gomes were chosen by more than 11,000 Internet users as the “3 Finalists” of the Triumph International Fashion Award 2005. There is one characteristic that makes each of the three designers special: they have the great talent to express Zeitgeist in fashion:

New Punk

Fiorenza: The sisters Patricia and Samantha Fiorenza have graduated both at the Central Saint Martins College. They have sent the London punk of the 70ies with a Neo baroque touch on a time travel to the present time. The wild revolt of the 60s/70s swings in Fiorenza's fashion.

Gothic

Susanne Zaspel: The style Gothic is the announced street style in Japan and will increasingly become part of the fashionable streets of the international metropolises in the next seasons. Susanne Zaspel's models have dreamy romantic titles like "Jellyfish in Heaven", "Deep Love", …

Re-struct/Symbiotic

Rafael Gomes: Rafael Gomes' style can be best described by the term "Re-struct". Gomes uses for his fashion materials from underwear. Bra-straps and stockings are re-constructed to a seductive dress which is symbiotically connected with the lingerie. Gomes makes the principle of sustainability fashionable.

Triumph International www.triumph.com
The story of Triumph International dates back well over a century and its history parallels developments in the world of fashion. Founded in Germany in 1886 by the Spiesshofer and Braun families, who still manage the business today, the company grew from small beginnings to Europe’s largest lingerie manufacturer and a leading garment maker throughout the world. Production began in a barn in Heubach, Germany, with just 2000 Goldmarks and six employees. Today the company has a turnover of 1.6 billion US-$ and a workforce approaching 37,000. In 1886 the founders declared their dedication to innovation, a philosophy that remains the same to this day and in 1902 'Triumph' was officially registered as their trademark. Soon the company had independent subsidiaries for swimwear, daywear and nightwear and new technological developments such as moulding and high frequency welding, used instead of traditional stitching, were revolutionising looks and possibilities for Triumph designers. On a global scale, Triumph International is represented in almost every country in the world and the company produces and markets foundation garments, lingerie and nightwear, swimwear and beachwear, sportswear and leisurewear. Triumph International attributes its success as a worldwide active manufacturer to its strong brands: Triumph, Sloggi, Bee Dees, Valisere and HOM.
