The mannequin wears showpieces in black and neon green by Amelie Marciasini; they were presented on 1 and 2 June 2011 during the graduate fashion shows at the RCA.

The two dresses beneath the mannequin are from the 'Esprit RCA Ltd Edition', FW2011/12. The asymmetrical striped color fields remember 60s pop-art. The dresses are designed under the aspect sustainability; the collection is available from September 2011 on in selected Esprit stores. Photos: springstudios.

Sustainable fashion

In July 2011, the international fashion brand and store chain Esprit announces the release of the limited edition of dresses, tops, pullovers, and jeans developed in collaboration with three designers from the Royal College of Art London for September 2011.

It's the second time that Esprit and the Royal College of Art London are working together. For the FW2011/12 collection, the designers explored if fashion can be sustainable. Therefore, the graduates created pieces that fulfill the requirements of long-term usage by following a classical style with an artful twist.
